Lakota and Ian were eleven when they met in middle school. Having played instruments on their own, they began to share their interests in similar genres of music. It wasn't long after that they began to forge songs of their own. Playing for their friends quickly evolved into playing private house parties, gigs at clubs in their hometown of Austin, and showcases in every corner of the city.
